Ken Tracy won the six-way race for mayor of Mitchell today, according to unofficial results from the Davison County Auditor's Office and the South Dakota secretary of state.
Other local winners include:
-Mike Vehle, who beat Steve Sibson in the Republican primary for the District 20 state Senate;
-Christie Gunkel, who unseated her former boss, Brenda Veldheer, in the Republican primary for Davison County treasurer;
-The one-way faction, which won the Mitchell referendum on the direction of traffic on Second, Third and Fourth avenues;

-And Mitchell Board of Education incumbents Neil Putnam and Theresa Kriese, who fended off challengers Craig Guymon and Ed Potzler.
