The Terry Mathis 5K Walk/Run was held on Sunday, Oct. 17. Following is a list of the top three runners in each category:
Men: first, Eric Giblin, Mitchell; second, Marty Takagi, Mitchell; third, Obadiah Scheich, Sioux Falls.
Women: first, Taya Heisinger, Parkston; second, Lisa Larson, Mitchel; third, Angie Mueller, Ethan.

Youth: first, Jessica Endres, Ethan; second, Molly Miiller, Ethan; third, Maddie Miiller, Ethan. Upcoming Events for Nov. 4 through Nov. 9: Today, Nov. 4: Second round of football playoffs, Bridgewater -Emery/Ethan vs. Hill City at Bridgewater, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5: District 8B volleyball tournament begins at Alexandria, Wednesday, Nov. 6: District Oral Interp Contest at Mitchell. Thursday, Nov. 7: District 8B volleyball continues. Ethan will play the winner of Tuesday’s second round game at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8: District 8B volleyball at Alexandria. Saturday, Nov. 9: Football playoffs semifinals.
