RAPID CITY (AP) - The driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal crash on a Pennington County road south of Rapid City has been charged with vehicular homicide.
The Rapid City Journal reports that 19-year-old Jacobi Branich appeared in court Tuesday but did not enter a plea. It wasn't clear if he had obtained an attorney.
Authorities allege that Branich was driving drunk early Tuesday when he lost control of his pickup and the vehicle rolled in the ditch. The Highway Patrol says 19-year-old passenger Dara Reynolds was killed, and the five other people in the vehicle including Branich suffered minor injuries.
