BROOKINGS (AP) -- The South Dakota Board of Regents has approved agreements that will make it easier for students at Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown to transfer credits to South Dakota State University in Brookings.
The agreements allow technical school students studying medical laboratory science or large-animal agriculture to more easily complete a bachelor's degree in related fields at SDSU.
Regents Executive Director Jack Warner says the number of students transferring back and forth from South Dakota's two-year technical institutes and the four-year public universities has increased. He says 257 credit-transfer agreements have been approved among the universities and technical institutes.
