Mitchell Area Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information regarding two recent late-night burglaries on North Main Street.
At about 3:20 a.m. on Oct. 10, individuals entered the Plaza Cleaners business located in the 800 block of North Main Street. The individuals attempted to force their way into coin machines but were unable to open the machines. The individuals left the scene without being able to steal money from the location but did cause a significant amount of damage to the coin machines for a high-dollar loss.
At about 2:13 a.m. on Oct. 19, individuals forcibly entered Discount Joes located in the 1000 block of North Main Street. Numerous items of merchandise were stolen in the burglary to include but not limited to a Royal Alfa 600 SC cash register and a Hewlett Packard laptop computer.
At this time, it is not known if these burglaries are connected.
