CHAMBERLAIN -- A Reliance man has been charged with choking, jumping on and hitting a woman May 10 in Brule County.

An indictment filed May 22 charged Cameron Parker, 60, with aggravated assault, simple assault, interference with emergency communication and intentional damage to property.

Parker is alleged to have given the woman a bloody nose while jumping on her and striking her in the jaw and nose. When the woman tried to call 911, Parker allegedly broke her cell phone.
