The following cases were among those heard Tuesday during a felony court session at the Davison County Public Safety Center.

  • Yusniel Cala Gutierrez, 34, of Madison, Nebraska, pleaded guilty to grand theft of more than $2,500 and less than $5,000, a Class 5 felony which carries a maximum penalty of five years in the state penitentiary and a $10,000 fine; Sentenced to five years in prison suspended with credit for 67 days served and four years probation; Must pay $3,138.07 restitution jointly and severally, $106.50 in court costs and $26.60 to the Davison County auditor; Must repay court-appointed attorney's fees.
  • Mahlon Bruguier Jr., 40, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine, a Class 5 felony; And possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class 2 misdemeanor which carries a maximum penalty of 30 days in the county jail and a $500 fine; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Anna Linscott-Zask, 30, of Sandisfield, Massachusetts, pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to distribute more than one pound of marijuana and possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana, both of which are Class 3 felonies which carry a maximum penalty of 15 years in the state penitentiary and a $30,000 fine; Distribution of a controlled substance in schedule I, a Class 4 felony which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in the state penitentiary and a $20,000 fine; possession of a controlled substance in schedule I, a Class 5 felony; And possession of drug paraphernalia; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Mikala Brant, 21, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault, a Class 3 felony; Possession with intent to distribute more than one ounce and less than one half-pound of marijuana, a Class 5 felony; And possession of two ounces or less of marijuana, a Class 1 misdemeanor which carries a maximum penalty of one year in the county jail and a $2,000 fine; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Jasmine Medicine Elk, 19, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to intentional property damage of more than $5,000 and less than $100,000, a Class 4 felony; Grand theft of more than $2,500 and less than $5,000; Five counts of aggravated criminal entry of a motor vehicle, a Class 6 felony which carries a maximum penalty of two years in the state penitentiary and a $4,000 fine; And second-degree petty theft, a Class 2 misdemeanor; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Jason Schelske, 40, of Mitchell, pleaded guilty to a second-offense DUI, a Class 1 misdemeanor; Sentenced to 90 days in the county jail with 80 days suspended and credit for 1 day served; Driving privileges revoked for one year; Must pay a $600 fine, $151 for a blood test, $86.50 in court costs and a $50 DUI surcharge.
  • Mizani Bailey, 22, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault; Possession with intent to distribute more than one ounce and less than one half-pound of marijuana; Possession of two ounces or less of marijuana; And resisting the legal process, a Class 2 misdemeanor; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Amanda Harmon, 34, of Louisville, Kentucky, pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to distribute more than one pound of marijuana, possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana, distribution of a controlled substance in schedule I, possession of a controlled substance in schedule I and possession of drug paraphernalia; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Ruth Eggert, 32, of Mitchell, was sentenced to seven years in prison suspended with credit for one day served and seven years probation for reckless burning, a Class 4 felony; Must pay $57,429.97 in restitution and $106.50 in court costs; Must repay court-appointed attorney's fees.
  • Andrew Savage, 29, of Blacksburg, South Carolina, pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to distribute one pound or more of marijuana; Distribution of a controlled substance in schedule I; Possession of one to 10 pounds of marijuana, a Class 4 felony; Two counts of possession of a controlled substance in schedule I or II, a Class 5 felony; Possession of drug paraphernalia; And driving with a suspended license, a Class 2 misdemeanor; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Sheila Kilgore, 62, of Lake Andes, pleaded not guilty to possession of hash oil, a Class 5 felony; A first-offense DUI, a Class 1 misdemeanor; Resisting the legal process; And possession of drug paraphernalia; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Lee Reed, 31, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to intentional property damage of more than $5,000 and less than $100,000, grand theft of more than $2,500 and less than $5,000, five counts of aggravated criminal entry of a motor vehicle and second-degree petty theft; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • James Randall, 38, of Buckeye, Arizona, failed to appear on charges of possession of hash oil; possession of more than two ounces and less than one half-pound marijuana, a Class 6 felony; And possession of drug paraphernalia; Court issued a $2,000 bench warrant.
  • Shafie Mohamed, 22, of Waite Park, Minnesota, pleaded not guilty to possession of cathinone, a Class 5 felony; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Chelsey McKibben, 29, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia; Denied violating probation for a previous conviction of possession of a controlled substance in schedules I or II; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Melody Ringing Shield, 29, of Mitchell, pleaded guilty to second-degree petty theft, a Class 2 misdemeanor; Sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served; Must pay $338.78 in restitution and $68.50 in court costs; Admitted to violating probation for a previous conviction of unauthorized ingestion of a controlled substance in schedules I or II, a Class 5 felony; Sentenced to five years in prison suspended with credit for 109 days served and four years probation; Must repay all previously ordered amounts, testing costs and court-appointed attorney's fees.
  • Andrea Buchholz, 27, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to possession of two ounces of marijuana or less and assault, a Class 1 misdemeanor; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Keith Babby, 41, of Mitchell, pleaded guilty to a fifth-offense DUI, a Class 4 felony; Sentenced to eight years in prison suspended with credit for 16 days served and four years probation; Must complete the James Valley Drug and DUI Court program; Driving privileges revoked for three years; Must pay a $1,000 fine, $151 in restitution for a blood test, $106.50 in court costs and a $50 DUI surcharge; Must repay court-appointed attorney's fees.

  • Matthew Sweeney, 35, of Mitchell, failed to appear on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, a Class 4 felony; Possession of methamphetamine; Possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, a Class 6 felony; Possession of a suspended license, a Class 1 misdemeanor; Possession of drug paraphernalia; And driving with a suspended license; Court issued a no-bond bench warrant.
  • Christopher Heth, 27, of Mitchell, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, a Class 5 felony; Sentencing scheduled for Feb. 18.
  • Mahl'i Shell, 18, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to intentional property damage of more than $5,000 and less than $100,000, grand theft of more than $2,500 and less than $5,000, five counts of aggravated criminal entry of a motor vehicle and two counts of second-degree petty theft; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Adeline Skunk, 46, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault and refusing to leave property after notice, a Class 1 misdemeanor; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Mark Pretre, 25, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Robert Brewer Jr., 43, of Mitchell, denied violating probation for previous convictions of unauthorized ingestion of a controlled substance in schedules I or II; And failure to register as a sex offender and failure to accurately provide information as a sex offender, both of which are Class 6 felonies; Status hearing scheduled for Jan. 21.
  • Reese Rose, 40, of Hayward, California, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine; Possession of a scanning device with intent to obtain or alter payment card information, a Class 6 felony; Possession of less than two ounces of marijuana; And possession of drug paraphernalia; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Jay Peneaux, 37, of Mitchell, pleaded not guilty to abuse of or cruelty to a minor, a Class 3 felony; And aggravated assault; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
  • Calvin Shangreaux III, 36, of Rapid City, was sentenced to five years in prison suspended, 62 days in jail with credit for 49 days served and four years probation for third-degree burglary; Must pay a $500 fine, $406.14 in restitution jointly and severally and $106.50 in court costs; Must repay court-appointed attorney's fees.
  • Mohamed Omar, 23, of Mankato, Minnesota, pleaded not guilty to possession of cathinone, a Class 5 felony; Jury trial scheduled for April 20.
