RAPID CITY -- A man serving sentences for three Pennington County convictions has been placed on escape status.
Jonah Burning Breast, 25, allegedly left his community service job site in Rapid City without authorization on Saturday, according to the South Dakota Department of Corrections.
Two of Burning Breast's current sentences are for possession of a controlled substance, and the third is for eluding. All three offenses were committed in Pennington County.
For allegedly failing to return to a temporary work site, Burning Breast could be charged with second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony.
