SD man charged with manslaughter of friend in shooting
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — An 18-year-old Sioux Falls man has been charged with manslaughter after he discharged his newly acquired shotgun in his basement and struck and killed a friend that was visiting on Labor Day, police said.
The suspect, Stasck Alsxandr, hit the victim in the back when the gun discharged, the police said. Alsxandr called 911, but lifesaving measures were unsuccessful, according to a police statement on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
The victim was identified as 21-year-old Darias Jae Tiger, also of Sioux Falls.
In a search warrant, police said they found concentrated THC in the Alsxandr home on the northwest side of Sioux Falls and he was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and maintaining a house where drugs are used.
Police said the two were friends and were just hanging out in the basement.
