The New Year's celebration got a bit out of hand for one truck driver who stopped in Mitchell.

On Wednesday morning, Mitchell police received a call about a truck at the I-90 Travel Center that had been parked and running since New Year's Eve.

The company that owns the truck uses GPS navigation to track its location and saw it had been parked in the same location for a few days, and contacted police to look into it.

Upon investigation, police determined the truck's driver had been arrested on New Year's Eve for disorderly conduct, according to Mitchell Police Sgt. Brad Buysse. The name of the individual arrested was not immediately available.

The truck was shut off and its owners sent someone to claim it, Buysse said.
