HILL CITY (AP) -- Search crews are again out on boats trying to recover the body of a 15-year-old boy who had been kayaking on Deerfield Lake.

Justin Lewis of Hill City was last seen a week ago when his mother dropped him off for his kayaking trip. His kayak and life jacket were found.

According to media reports, South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department personnel are out on the lake Wednesday on boats equipped with sonar.

Deerfield Lake is near Hill City, which is about 20 miles southwest of Rapid City.

The lake remains closed to boat access, but officials may decide on an opening date on Wednesday.
