BOX ELDER -- A 42-year-old Box Elder man has denied charges of using a cellphone and computer to entice minors for sex, according to U.S. Attorney for South Dakota Randy Seiler.
Christopher Michael Fox faces charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, enticement of a minor using the internet, and transfer of obscene material to a minor.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is life imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, lifetime supervised release, and a $5,000 assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.
The charges relate to Fox using a cell phone and a computer to engage in sexually explicit conduct with minor girls, Seiler said.
Fox was detained pending another hearing. A trial date has not been set.
