Bernice Ringling, 80, Platte, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Platte Health Care, Platte.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christian Reformed Church, Platte, with the Rev. David Prince officiating. Burial will be in Platte City Cemetery, Platte. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Platte Funeral Chapel, Platte, with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
She was born on Feb. 12, 1928, on the family farm in Aurora County to Ben and Marie (Tegethoff) Holleman.
She attended school in Douglas and Aurora counties.
On Sept. 27, 1950, she married Virgil Ringling in Aurora County.

She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church.
She is survived by her children: Linda Deinert and husband Dennis, Mitchell; Randy, Hot Springs; and Kirby and wife Sandy, Platte; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a brother, Lyle Holleman and wife Evelyn, Harrison; and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson and her parents.
