This special event will celebrate Avera Cancer Institute Mitchell's 15th anniversary and the installation of a new linear accelerator. In addition, the event is a chance for the public to meet cancer care staff, including the area's newest medical oncologist, Dr. Kathleen Naegele.
Avera Cancer Institute Mitchell recently installed a new, fully digital Elekta Infinity linear accelerator for radiation oncology care. The machine offers enhanced imaging for greater precision, and versatile capability for a full range of radiation treatments.
Naegele recently came to Mitchell from Kingman, Ariz. She joins other specialists at Avera Cancer Institute Mitchell including Stephen Dick, Radiation Oncologist, and Anwarul Haq, Medical Oncologist/Hematologist.
