TRIPP -- The Hutchinson County Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for Chad Kendrich, 26, of Mississippi, for his involvement in an altercation Saturday near Tripp.
One man was injured in a confrontation around 4 a.m. Saturday during a party at a rural home. The victim, whose name law enforcement declined to release, was treated at Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital/Avera Health in Scotland for what were described as superficial injuries.
Hutchinson County Sheriff Jim Zeeb said Kendrich was living in the area because he was working at Trail King in Mitchell. Zeeb believes Kendrich immediately left the state after the confrontation.
"He left the scene before law enforcement got there, but I'm pretty sure he booked it out of state immediately," Zeeb said.
Kendrich is white with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and 155 pounds.
