HISTORIC PLANKINTON HOUSE DEMOLISHED: One of Plankinton's earliest houses is history.
On Saturday, a house on First Street was demolished and the corner lot on which it stood for more than 100 years is now bare.
The house had not been lived in for many years and had become a nuisance. The lot is currently owned by Joe and Amity Fox.

Winner
FINAL APPROVAL GIVEN TO MAIN STREET CHANGE: The Winner City Council gave final approval to an ordinance changing Main Street from a one-way street to a two-way street.
Brad Schramm issued the sole vote against the change, which will take effect in 2020 when the highway is redone through Winner.

ZION LUTHERAN TO CELEBRATE 100 YEARS: Chamberlain's Zion Lutheran Church will celebrate its centennial on Sunday.
The public is invited to attend various events, including singing hymns and watching presentations, on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. at the church.
