The 86th annual National FFA Convention was held Oct. 30 through Nov. 2 in Louisville, Ky.
Cooper Eliason, Howard, placed first in the Ag Mechanics Energy Systems Entrepreneurship competition, earning a $1,000 award. Other area National Finalist Proficiency award winners include: Kelsi Kampshoff, McCook Central, Ag Education Entrepreneurship ($500); Tyler Mentele, McCook Central, Diversified Ag Production Entrepreneurship ($500); Beth Mayrose, McCook Central, Home and/or Community Development Entrepreneurship ($500); Morgan Matthaei, McCook Central, Specialty Crop Production Entrepreneurship ($500); Brandon Reif, McCook Central, Turf Grass Management Entrepreneurship ($500).
