Amie Jo Koster, 14, Stickney, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a lifelong battle with Hereditary Sensory Autonomic Neuropathy Type IV.

Amie Jo Koster, 14, Stickney, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a lifelong battle with Hereditary Sensory Autonomic Neuropathy Type IV.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stickney School Gymnasium with the Revs. Merlin Sapp and Dale Battleson officiating. Burial will be in Silver Ridge Cemetery in Stickney. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the family present at 6 p.m. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lien Funeral Chapel, Stickney.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1994, at Ellsworth Air Force Base to Dan and Cindy (Gerlach) Koster.

She was in eighth grade at Stickney School. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her parents, a brother, Brandon, Stickney; a sister, Chantel, Valdosta, Ga.; her grandparents: Marvin and Darlene Koster, Mitchell; and Lois Gerlach, Stickney; three uncles and two aunts.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronald Gerlach; an aunt and her great-grandparents.
