Man dies after single-vehicle crash in Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A 35-year-old man died after being involved in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday morning, May 25, according to a South Dakota Highway Patrol news release.

At 7:29 a.m. on Saturday, the man was driving a pickup truck about two miles north of 6821 N. Deadwood Ave. in Rapid City.

The vehicle left the road and struck a box culvert on a creek embankment.

The driver was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver is not named in the news release.

The crash is still under investigation.
