PLANKINTON-A 70-year-old man sustained minor injuries and traffic was rerouted on Interstate 90 following a single-vehicle crash Friday.

At about 2:17 p.m., strong winds caused a 2016 Dodge Ram pulling a camper to fish tail. The vehicle was two miles east of Plankinton traveling westbound on Interstate 90.

The driver-who was wearing a seat belt-lost control of the vehicle, which jackknifed with the camper. The pickup came to rest on its roof and the camper on its side.

The lanes were shut down for about 45 minutes, and traffic was routed to the 310 exit and through Plankinton.

The man was transported to a Mitchell hospital. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety said charges are not pending. The name of the man involved in the crash is not being released due to Marsy's Law.
