JOHNSON SIDING -- A man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a Friday motorcycle crash near Johnson Siding.

Tony Weber, 67, of Yuma, Colorado, died Sunday in Rapid City Regional Hospital, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

At 5:18 p.m. on Friday, Weber, on a 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide, was northbound on Norris Peak Road, 3 miles north of Johnson Siding.

Weber lost control of his motorcycle while approaching a bridge. He slid into a ditch and hit a barbed-wire fence. He was not wearing a helmet, and his injuries were determined not to be life-threatening immediately following the crash.

Weber is the third person to die as a result of a crash during this year's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
