Mitchell woman injured in Dimock crash
DIMOCK—A Mitchell woman sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Dimock.
Juli Boehmer, 58, was northbound on S.D. Highway 37 in a 2009 Ford Fusion when she lost control of the car on the road, which was partially covered in ice and snow, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
At 7:38 a.m., Boehmer's vehicle crossed the southbound lane and went into the west ditch, then hit a utility pole and a fire hydrant, which both broke at ground level.
Boehmer, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was transported by ambulance to the Parkston hospital. Charges are pending.
