CHAMBERLAIN -- Two people sustained minor injuries Friday morning in a one-vehicle crash, 1 mile west of Chamberlain.
According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, at 11:32 a.m., a 2017 Polaris Slingshot was westbound on Interstate 90 when it hydroplaned in the rainwater that pooled on the Missouri River bridge.
The vehicle flipped onto its side and slid into the cement median. Both the 51-year-old male driver and 43-year-old female passenger were wearing helmets, and both were able to exit the vehicle without assistance.
Both people were taken to the hospital in Chamberlain, and the bridge was closed for a period of time following the crash.
Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, though no charges are pending.
