DIMOCK -- Two people were injured and a 1-year-old girl was unharmed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash four miles east of Dimock.
At 10:22 a.m., a 2016 Jeep Renegade driven by 66-year-old Duane Keiper, of Parkston, was westbound on 270th Avenue. At the road's intersection with 414th Avenue, the Jeep crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an eastbound 2013 Dodge Journey, the South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported Thursday.
The 31-year-old woman who was driving the Dodge sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to the hospital in Parkston. She had been wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and her 1-year-old passenger was properly restrained.
Keiper, who was also wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. Charges against him are pending.
