PUKWANA -- A man was injured in a one-vehicle rollover crash early Saturday morning, 5 miles north of Pukwana.

At 12:48 a.m., a 2012 Ford F350 was northbound on 350th Avenue near its intersection with 244th Street when it drifted off of the right side of the roadway, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. The driver, 26-year-old Eric Low of Live Oak, Florida, overcorrected, went into the west ditch and rolled once before coming to rest on its wheels.

Low, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious, non-life-threatening injures. He was taken by ambulance to the Chamberlain hospital and was later airlifted to a hospital in Sioux Falls.

Low was the only occupant in the vehicle, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. Charges are pending against him, and the South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
