YANKTON – A 32-year-old man died late Saturday night in a one-vehicle crash west of Yankton.
According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at 11:40 p.m. Saturday 2 miles west of Yankton on State Highway 314. The man, who was the only person involved, was driving a 2012 Ford F150 SuperCrew pickup truck was eastbound on South Dakota Highway 314 when it left the roadway. The pickup struck a cable guardrail and rolled several times.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to the Yankton hospital where he later died.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of family members.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says it is investigating the crash.
