PLANKINTON -- A man died Monday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Friday near Plankinton.

In addition to the 79-year-old passenger who died, both drivers involved in the crash were injured, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety

At 2:40 p.m., 2 miles east of Plankinton, a 2012 Ford F-250 eastbound on S.D. Highway 16 failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign. The truck collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer, which went into the east ditch.

The 68-year-old male driver of the Trailblazer and the 77-year-old male driver of the F-250 both sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries. None of the three people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts. The names of those involved are not being released pending notification of family members.

Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
