CANISTOTA - A 78-year-old man is facing serious, non-life threatening injuries after rolling his vehicle Monday morning near Canistota.
At 6:20 a.m., the man, whose name has not been released, was driving a 2015 GMC Canyon westbound on Interstate 90, near mile marker 368, about 4.5 miles north of Canistota. According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, the man lost control while driving, causing the vehicle to go into the median, where it eventually rolled.
The name is not being released pending notification of families.
The man was wearing a seat belt and was transported by ambulance to a Sioux Falls hospital.
The South Dakota Highway patrol, Canistota EMTs, McCook County Sheriff's Office, the McCook County Emergency Management and Canistota Fire Department responded to the crash.
