Firefighters responded to a structure fire Thursday evening at a shed located south of Mitchell.
The fire was reported shortly after 6 p.m., and took place at 25656 Highway 37, the site of the Upper Midwest Garage Door business, or about 3 1/2 miles south of Mitchell.
Mitchell Assistant Fire Chief Marius Laursen said 12 firefighters were on scene, where the fire in a large pole building has mostly been knocked down. Authorities were working on hot spots as of 9 p.m.
The Mitchell Fire Division, Ethan Fire Department and the Davison County Sheriff's Office were among the responding agencies to the blaze.
Laursen said the cause is being investigated and it is not being deemed suspicious at this time. No one was injured. It is unknown if the building is a complete loss.
This is the second fire in three days for the Mitchell Fire Division. On Tuesday, Mitchell firefighters worked the scene of a hay barn blaze northeast of Mitchell at a rural farm.
