A South Dakota woman was injured recently after shooting herself in the foot.

At approximately 10 a.m. Saturday, a 32-year-old South Dakota woman was shot in the foot by her gun as she was driving north of Presho, according to officials with the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish & Parks (GF&P).

As the woman was driving her vehicle scouting for deer, she drove over a bump in the road. The gun discharged and she was struck in the foot. Her husband was a passenger in the vehicle and was not injured. GF&P declined to release the name of the injured woman.
