3 Rapid City men arrested after shooting investigation

RAPID CITY (AP) -- Authorities have arrested three Rapid City men allegedly connected to a meth-related dispute after investigating a man believed to have accidentally put a bullet in himself.

RAPID CITY (AP) - Authorities have arrested three Rapid City men allegedly connected to a meth-related dispute after investigating a man believed to have accidentally put a bullet in himself.

Law enforcement got a report Monday of a gunshot victim seeking treatment at a Rapid City hospital.

Officials say an investigation shows the victim was a passenger when 41-year-old Fred Brassfield shot at people in another vehicle. Nobody was injured.

Brassfield then allegedly assaulted an occupant and stole the vehicle he fired at, ditching it later. While again riding with Brassfield, authorities believe the victim accidentally shot himself.

Authorities have also arrested 34-year-old Paul Roubideaux and 33-year-old Joshua Wahle on drug charges. Officials say they are thought to be connected to the case. Brassfield was arrested in Sioux Falls and faces charges including aggravated assault.
