OACOMA - A 14-year-old girl sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash Saturday in Oacoma.

A 14-year-old Chamberlain girl was driving on the Interstate 90 Business Loop in Oacoma when her vehicle left the roadway, Chamberlain Police Chief Joe Hutmacher said. Police believe the girl experienced a medical issue that caused the crash.

Hutmacher said the girl was conscious when police arrived but was pinned inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. She sustained minor injuries and was wearing a seat belt, Hutmacher said.

The girl was transported to Sanford Mid-Dakota hospital in Chamberlain by Missouri Valley Ambulance.

The extent of the damage to the vehicle was unknown.
