DANTE - One man died in a one-vehicle crash Thursday night near Dante.
A 34-year-old male - whose name is not being released pending notification of family members - was driving southbound on 400th Avenue, approximately one mile south of Dante, when his vehicle left the roadway.
The 1999 Ford F250 pickup went into the east ditch and rolled, ejecting him from the vehicle at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
The man was the lone occupant involved in the crash.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dante is about eight miles southeast of Wagner in south-central South Dakota.
South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other responding departments include Charles Mix County Sheriff's Office and Yankton Sioux Tribal Police.
