SIOUX FALLS (AP) - South Dakotans on both end of the state have access to holiday entertainment this weekend.
The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will host its annual holiday collage concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Washington Pavilion, which involves musicians, a volunteer chorus and guest artists. Joining them this year is the winner of the young musician concerto competition, 12-year-old Maximus Gurath, of Sioux Falls. His focus is the cello, which he started studying at age 4.
In Lead, the Homestake Opera House Theater will host the Black Hills Cowboy Christmas Ball on Saturday. The two shows will feature an old-fashioned concert and dance.
