SIOUX FALLS - The 2013 South Dakota All-State Chorus and Orchestra Event took place in Sioux Falls on Nov. 2 in the Sioux Falls Arena.

Mitchell High School was represented by 16 choir members and one instrumentalist. Junior Sam Weller was the featured Clarinet soloist on Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 Movement 3.

MHS Senior Tim Parks was selected as a vocal soloist on “Ride the Chariot.”

The 2013 All-State Orchestra had 161 musicians representing 24 schools.

The 2013 All-State Chorus numbered 960 singers representing 154 high schools.
