The Corn Palace is announcing three upcoming shows for February as part of the Mitchell Telecom Series.
Both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones will have their chance to shine during Beatles vs. Stones at 7 p.m. Feb. 12. Musicians will engage in a musical “shootout of the hits” featuring tribute bands Abbey Road and Jumping Jack Flash.
Taking the stage at 7 p.m. Feb. 9 is six-time Vocal Group of the Year, Diamond Rio, which won its first Grammy for album The Reason. When the band debuted in 1991 with the hit “Meet in the Middle,” Diamond Rio became the first group in the history of country music to have a debut single reach No. 1. The band continued to place 32 more singles on the Billboard chart, including “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” “Norma Jean Riley,” “Beautiful Mess,” “Love a Little Stronger” and “One More Day.”
As a South Dakota native, Reza, an illusionist, grew up in Brookings. He takes the stage at 2 p.m. Feb. 16.
Tickets for these shows go on sale Dec. 3. Visit www.cornpalace.com or call the Corn Palace Box Office at 995-8430 for ticket information.
