KWL girls put four in top-10 to take Action Club meet

HIGHMORE -- Kimball/White Lake placed four runners in the top-nine to capture the Action Club girls cross country meet on Saturday.

The WiLdKats recorded 15 points, 13 fewer than second-place Ipswich and 30 fewer than third-place Wall. The KWL boys placed second in the team standings with 27 points, 11 behind first-place Miller.

Sidney McCord led the WiLdKat girls with a fourth-place finish in 20 minutes, 51.35 seconds, while Taya Chelmo was sith in 21:05.89. Autumn Baker (21:08.44) and Chrstine Gaulke (21:14.66) were eighth and ninth, respectively.

Jones County’s Jolie Dugan won the individual girls championship in 20:08.92.

On the boys side, KWL’s Dawson Miller was eighth in 18:28.82), while Drew Ekstrum (18:35.12) and Park Sinclair (18:35.55) were ninth and 10th, respectively.

James Valley’s Daniel Ayoroa was the boys champion with a time of 17:23.99.
