Randall resigns as Mitchell's show choir director
The search for Mitchell High School's new show choir director is on following Jennifer Randall's recent announcement she will be moving back to Texas with her family.
Mitchell Activities Director Cory Aadland liked where Friend de Coup was headed under the leadership of Randall, who led one of the state's top show choir programs for three years.
"We have an amazing show choir team, and I expect to be able to choose from some great applicants given we have a national presence," Aadland said of Friend de Coup, which has competed and fared well in national show choir competitions in the past. "But Jen was a great leader for our program, and we'll miss her."
Backed with a state of the art Performing Arts Center and a successful program that's enjoyed three consecutive state titles in 2016, 2017 and 2018, Aadland noted there are several advantages for attracting reputable candidates to fill the show choir director vacancy.
Aadland said the Mitchell School District began advertising the position Tuesday, and hopes to fill the position as soon as possible.
Randall will fulfill the rest of the current season, which wraps up with the Friend de Coup dinner theater at the end of March.
