After the retirement of Johnny Rivers, who was scheduled to perform a concert on Aug. 26 at the Corn Palace Festival, event officials have found a replacement.

Williams and Ree, a duo also known as “The Indian” and “The White Guy,” will be taking the stage at the 2021 Corn Palace festival at 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 26. The duo performs a mix of country music and comedy.

The Something New Band will open for Williams and Ree at 7 p.m. on Aug. 26 inside the Corn Palace. Tickets will go on sale on Monday.

The duo is known to poke fun at political correctness and conformity. Their performances have earned themselves a Country Music Award vocal duo nomination. Their television credits include Country Kitchen, HeeHaw, Laff TV and Comedy Central. They currently host Country Thunder Music Festivals around North America and are featured on Sirius Radio.
