MITCHELL — The Mitchell High School show choir season is set to kick off Thursday with three nights of performances.

Friend de Coup will host Up With Show at the Mitchell High School Performing Arts Center, with shows scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 8, Friday Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10.

The three shows will mark the group’s first return to the stage following a successful 2021 season that saw the choir take home several top awards and finishes from events that took them across the country. They received grand champion awards and recognition for many aspects of their performances, including choreography, band and vocals during that season.

Up With Show traditionally serves as the show choir’s first public performances of the year, setting up the season of local showcases and their competition schedule.

Tickets for the three shows went on sale Dec. 6 and can be purchased at the venue box office from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m on Dec. 6 and 7 and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 8, 9 and 10. Tickets may be purchased online at tix.com by visiting the site and searching for “friend de coup.” Tickets for both the live performances at the Performing Arts Center as well as access to online livestreams to all three nights are available.
