Anita Protsch and Michael Haas were married on July 4, 2014, in the backyard of the bride's parents' home in Howard. Darwin Lynde was the officiant.
Parents of the couple are Chrysti and Greg Protsch, Howard; and Jim and Kathy Haas, Northfield, Minn.
Alyssa Protsch was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Trisha Protsch and Karin Haas. Flower girls were Breanna Severson, Harper and Hadlee Protsch and Rayna Donahue.
Daniel Haas was best man. Groomsmen were Alex Protsch and Jared Donahue.
A reception followed the ceremony with dinner, dancing and sparklers.

Anita is a graduate of South Dakota State University, Brookings, and earned her master's degree in education at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn. She is a teacher at Whole Learning School, St. Louis Park.
Michael is a graduate of Metro University and is a grant researcher.
