MITCHELL — The Mitchell fire department conducted a live burn training on Thursday, March 30. Here are photos from the exercise.

The building used in the exercise was the former Peace Lights building near the south edge of Mitchell.

Adam Thury joined the Mitchell Republic in March of 2022. He was born and raised in Mitchell, S.D., and graduated from Mitchell High School in 2015.
