Mitchell Area Safehouse director announced
The Mitchell Area Community Safehouse Board welcomes Alli Fredericksen as its new executive director. She replaces Marilyn Haley, who retired this past January.
Fredericksen, a Mitchell native, will oversee the everyday operations, development and community outreach for the Mitchell Area Safehouse. She is a graduate of Mitchell High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Dakota Wesleyan University.
"I am excited to start this new position at the Safehouse and to be able to work alongside some amazing individuals where together we hope to help make a difference by providing a safe and empowering environment through advocacy and support services."
Prior to working for the Safehouse, Fredericksen worked for the city of Sioux Falls. She is actively involved in South Dakota Network Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault, Mitchell Area Network Association, and Mitchell Area Human Resource Association.
