The Mitchell Food Pantry will hold a food box giveaway next week.

The giveaway will take place Wednesday, May 19 at 5 p.m. in the city parking lot between Graham Tire and TMA. Products being distributed include produce, dairy, meat and milk for those in need.

The boxes are limited to one per household and two maximum per vehicle.

Those participating may enter the parking lot on Lawler Street and exit on Main Street. The parking lot will be closed until 5 p.m.

The food box giveaway is part of the Farmers to Families Food Box program, a partnership between the USDA and farmers, ranchers, specialty crop producers, food processors and distributors as well as non-profit organizations to ensure all Americans have access to fresh and wholesome food they need during the COVID-19 national emergency.
