Join area cattle producers and Mitchell Livestock for a special rollover sale to raise funds for local cancer patients. The fifth annual Cattle for Cancer sale is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Mitchell Livestock.
“No one should fight cancer alone,” said Molly Sutton, director of the Avera Queen of Peace Foundation. “This sale is a wonderful opportunity for cattle producers to assist local cancer patients and see the direct impact it has in their lives, providing them support at such an important time.”
Producers are invited to sell cattle of their choice, make a donation during the rollover or purchase cattle. Any contribution will make a difference in the lives of cancer patients in our own backyard.
All proceeds benefit the Avera Queen of Peace Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund, which supports efforts such as free cancer screenings; patient and caregiver meals; transportation; housing assistance; and community education.
