58-year-old Donald Letcher was sentenced on Nov. 23 to 25 days in jail, as well as a 30-day license suspension and two years of probation, after pleading guilty to charges relating to the hit-and-run of a 6-year-old girl.
During the event, which was hosted at the Moose Lodge in Mitchell, guests enjoyed a three-course meal, open bar, as well as a few keynote speakers and an awards ceremony for longstanding Lions club members.
“We set that goal before we saw the effects of inflation on food and gas and other things hitting people hard in the pocket book. But we also know that as hard as that affects us, it affects the people we help much worse,” Vice President Ken Schlimgen said.
