TYNDALL -- Led by three runners in the top-15, the Chamberlain girls cross-country team claimed the Bon Homme Invitational on Monday.
The Cubs finished with 21 team points, edging Burke (22) for the title. North Central (Neb.) took third with 28 points.
Burke’s Hallie Person covered the 5,000-meter run in 20-minutes and :22 seconds to earn individual medalist honors. Chamberlain’s Kinsey Evans (20:50) paced the Cubs with a second-place finish. Andes Central/Dakota Christian’s Isabella Brouwer (21:57) finished third.
Freeman Academy/Marion’s Jada Koerner (22:36) and Menno’s Morgan Edelman (22:46).
Chamberlain’s Kylah Biggins (24:10) and Abigail Hough (25:31) placed eighth and 15th, respectively.

On the boys side, Hartington-Newcastle (Neb.) won the team title with 16 points. Wagner (25) and Freeman Academy/Marion (28) placed second and third, respectively.
Hartington-Newcastle earned the individual title, covering the 5K distance in 16:16. FAM’s Titus Roesler (18:30) and Wagner’s Michael Barnett (19:32) finished second and third, respectively. Hartington-Newcastle’s Parker Albers (19:45) and Tavin Schroeder (19:52) took fourth and fifth, respectively.
