Cassie Williams joined the Mitchell Republic in July of 2022. She was raised in Helena, MT. She studied at Northern State University.

58-year-old Donald Letcher was sentenced on Nov. 23 to 25 days in jail, as well as a 30-day license suspension and two years of probation, after pleading guilty to charges relating to the hit-and-run of a 6-year-old girl.
Jay Genzler, 21, was arrested on Sept. 13 in connection to the rape of a minor between the ages of 13 and 16.
During the event, which was hosted at the Moose Lodge in Mitchell, guests enjoyed a three-course meal, open bar, as well as a few keynote speakers and an awards ceremony for longstanding Lions club members.

From witnessing strangers feed wild turkeys in their front lawns to reuniting with old friends, Dave Huber and Terry Heisinger experienced it all during a nearly 200-mile trek around Mitchell.
The bridge was dedicated to Captain Tommy Callies, a pilot who went missing in-action during his deployment in the Vietnam War.
Five awards were received by local businesses and community members for their efforts in bettering the Mitchell Community, including The Depot and Friends of Firesteel.
While the club only donated 19 blankets today, the club's current plan is to maintain contact with Mitchell's emergency services to keep supplying the blankets throughout the year.
The Aberdeen Golden Eagle Tournament saw multiple wins by the Kernels on Friday, Nov. 4, as well as a second place award at the Jefferson High School Novice Debate Tournament on Nov. 1.
The message displayed during the assembly was 'Enjoy the ride.'
