PARKSTON — An employee at a Parkston veterinary clinic tested positive for COVID-19, the business said Sunday.
Northwest Veterinary and Supply in Parkston said Sunday in a social media post that it will be open this week to serve customers and clients. The business said the employee worked from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on April 21 and 22, and had limited interaction with clients. Northwest Veterinary and Supply provides veterinary services and equipment for livestock, cattle and domestic animals.
"Our Parkston location was been thoroughly disinfected over the weekend and we will be open for business to support you, our loyal clients during this busy season," the store said, noting it will continue curbside and delivery services.
Northwest Veterinary and Supply also said employees who might have been at risk of transmission have been self-quarantining at home. The business said it is following its coronavirus plan, which was submitted to city and county governments and the South Dakota State Veterinarian.
