"I enjoy working with others to understand their unique needs, and bringing the ideas of various stakeholders together to create something great. I enjoy strategic planning, including the flexibility to remain open to changes in the plan when necessary," Miskimins said in a news release.

"This position comes with several opportunities as well as distinct challenges. The national economy is recovering, albeit slowly, and that has an acute impact on the hospitality industry. Mitchell is in a great position to grow and develop as a destination for visitors as tourism picks back up. I look forward to serving the community's hospitality industry to grow visitor-related business in the Mitchell area."

Hisel said in the release that the Chamber is "pleased to have Jacki join the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce team as the CVB director."

"Her knowledge of the Mitchell area and all it has to offer, along with her proven ability to effectively utilize social media, develop genuine and constructive relationships quickly, and create positive customer experiences for our visitors, will serve the Mitchell community well," Hisel said.

Miskimins replaces Hannah Walters, who will leave the CVB. Walters will move to Aberdeen, where she has accepted a teaching position at Northern State University in marketing.
